Founded in late 2024 by adventurer and nature-obsessed explorer Darren Jacks, Gorilla Mountain Gear is on a mission: to make high-performance outdoor clothing that’s affordable, ethical, and built to last.

A Brand Born on the Trail

Darren knows what it means to live for the outdoors. Whether you’re hiking up a hill in sideways rain or setting up camp under the stars, your gear needs to keep up. But premium outdoor kit often comes with a premium price tag – and that means a lot of people are either going without or settling for less.

We’ve all passed someone on the trail who looked soaked to the bone, freezing, or simply underprepared. Not because they’re inexperienced, but because good gear can be painfully pricey. Darren’s seen this firsthand, and it’s what sparked the idea behind Gorilla Mountain Gear.
